ANEROID SPHYGMOMANOMETER:
An aneroid sphygmomanometer is a medical device used to measure blood pressure. It consists of a cuff that is wrapped around the upper arm, a gauge, and a stethoscope. Unlike traditional mercury sphygmomanometers, which use a column of mercury to measure blood pressure, aneroid sphygmomanometers use a small, flexible metal bellows or aneroid capsule.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF ANEROID SPHYGMOMANOMETER:
1. Pocket-Aneroid Sphygmomanometer: This type of sphygmomanometer is compact and designed for portability. It consists of a gauge, an inflatable cuff, and a bulb to inflate the cuff. The gauge typically has a dial that displays theaneroid sphygmomanometer. Pocket-aneroid sphygmomanometers are often used by healthcare professionals who need a portable device for on-the-go blood pressure monitoring.
2. Palm Aneroid Sphygmomanometer: Similar to the pocket-aneroid sphygmomanometer, the palm aneroid sphygmomanometer is also portable and designed to be held in the palm of the hand. It features a gauge, an inflatable cuff, and a bulb for inflation. The readings are displayed on a dial or a digital screen, depending on the model. Palm aneroid sphygmomanometers are commonly used by healthcare professionals for taking blood pressure measurements.
3. Clock-Style Aneroid Sphygmomanometer: This type of sphygmomanometer is typically found in clinics, hospitals, and medical facilities. It consists of a gauge, an inflatable cuff, and a manual inflation system. The gauge resembles a clock, with a needle that indicates the aneroid BP machine. Clock-style Best aneroid sphygmomanometers often have a sturdy design and are mounted on a stand or wall for convenient use in healthcare settings.
HOW DOES ANEROID SPHYGMOMANOMETER WORKS?
1. Cuff Inflation: The cuff is wrapped around the upper arm and inflated to a pressure higher than the expected systolic pressure (the higher number in a blood pressure reading).
2. Pressure Release: The pressure in the cuff is then gradually released.
3. Listening for Sounds: As the pressure decreases, blood starts to flow through the brachial artery, and the first sound, known as the Korotkoff sound, is heard. This corresponds to the systolic pressure.
4. Silent Phase: As the pressure continues to decrease, the sounds become softer, and at a certain point, the sounds disappear. This is the diastolic pressure.
5. Recording Measurements: The systolic and diastolic pressures are recorded from the gauge, usually in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).
