Monophasic Defibrillator

Description :- Monophasic Defibrillator is a device used for defibrillation to turn abnormal ECG rhythms into normal rhythms. When the heart enters ventricular fibrillation, the process of returning it to its normal sinus rhythm by giving adequate amount of external electrical current is called defibrillation, and the device used to produce such electrical current is called monophasic defibrillator. If electrical energy is given in the form of shocks, it will generate stimulation, namely, depolarization of myocardium and systole. The heart should be without pulse in ventricular fibrillation or ventricular tachycardia rhythm to give shock to the heart through a defibrillator.
